Dawn Robinson, CFRE

Executive Vice President

“People often refer to heroes as historical figures, athletes, and astronauts; but I’m fortunate to work with heroes every day—they are the men and women who work tirelessly for the not-for-profit organizations, causes, and missions they truly believe in.”

Dawn Robinson provides confident campaign leadership to nonprofit organizations and the Cramer team. With 20+ years of immersion in the philanthropic sector, she has refined critical fundraising skills that elevate our partners every day.

Dawn has counseled nonprofit starts-up, sophisticated foundations with $100 million+ in assets, and every kind of organization in between. With a strong personal network of industry leaders, she identifies and tracks trends in fundraising to guide our partners through every kind of project.

Her work on the 2019-2020 campaign for the Bishop Griffin Resource Center (BGRC) showcases her tenacity. To increase the momentum of the stalled campaign, Dawn engaged a trio of recognizable volunteer leaders who could open doors and secure major gifts. She also developed a strategic campaign marketing plan to increase awareness of the project through social media and email blasts. This plan secured many six-figure gifts and increased overall annual giving to the BGRC. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the campaign exceeded its $3.5 million goal.

Dawn’s extensive professional experience in marketing, advertising, and training allows her to create fundraising collateral materials that appeal to all kinds of donors and grantmakers. She has reimagined the traditional campaign case for support document for the modern donor. Under her guidance, Cramer produces eyecatching booklets and visual one-pagers that capture the reader’s attention, include all the relevant information about a campaign, and convey a sense of urgency. She is a graduate of Arizona State University and a Certified Fund Raising Executive.

Beyond the workday, Dawn is an active community volunteer. Her love for animals has led her to volunteer with Canine Companions for Independence and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. She is currently on the board of Pet FBI. She lives in Dublin, Ohio with her four-legged kid, Orla.
